BEST BLACK FRIDAY TOOL DEALS AT THE HOME DEPOT

Home Depot literally has a ton of deals in store and online during the holiday season and figuring out which deals to take advantage of and which to pass on can be difficult. I hope to help by highlighting some of my favorite holiday deals currently available at the Home Depot!

If you would rather listen and see each deal I found, please click on the link to BEST 2022 HOME DEPOT TOOL DEALS - HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE FOR DIYERS

Also, if I notice any changes in the current deals (such as a further price drops) or new deals added, I will post those on my Instagram - Weihe_Designs

First, let’s cover HAND TOOLS:

Hand Tool deals are definitely the most abundant this time of year and Milwaukee has a great deal going on especially if you decide to purchase 4 of their $19.97 tools at once. They are giving an instant savings of $20 which brings the price down to below $15 per tool. Tools included in the Milwaukee Hand Tool Deal are the:

  • 13-in-1 and 11-in-1 Screwdriver Set (SKU #1005441420)

  • 19oz Wood Milled Face Hickory Framing Hammer (SKU #1003529050)

  • 2 Pack 25ft Magnetic Tape Measures (SKU #1007964739)

  • 7-in-1 Pliers (SKU #1005654893)

  • 7in and 4 1/2in Square Set (SKU #1005468285)

  • Fastback Set (SKU #1007964740)

Personally, I’m thinking of picking up the tape measures, speed squares, fastback set, and 7-in-1 pliers. The tape measures are magnetic, have a far standout and seem very sturdy. I’ve been using the speed squares for over a year, and for the price, the quality and features are pretty amazing. The fastback deal contains my favorite utility knife, the 6-1 as well as the compact fastback and extra blades! The normal price of the 6-1 is 20 bucks so this is a great deal. And the last Milwaukee tool I want is the 7-1 pliers. They're an upgraded version of my favorite pliers, the Milwaukee 6-1!

The screwdrivers seem to be only available online, and are a decent deal. In the past the kits have been lower, but once again, if you get 4 items, you get that additional discount. Personally, I would stay away from the wooden hammer due to the milled face and because there are many other options on the market that have more features for the price. But if you really want a wooden hammer, it's really affordable when you bundle it with 3 other tools.

As far as other Milwaukee hand tools go, there wasn’t much on the floor at my Home Depot. The 24in magnetic beam level is priced at $29.97, I really can’t recommend them at that price. I've taken an in depth look at this Milwaukee level in a previous video of mine, Masterforce Levels, and it's just not as good as other levels on the market. I like my Masterforce levels from Menards way more and they are about the same price. I would stay away from the billet level for $29.97 as well because I found a similar level from Toughbuilt sold at Lowes for just $19.98! If you are interested in seeing my BEST 2022 LOWE'S TOOL DEALS - HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE FOR DIYERS click the link.

Some other notable hand tool deals are from Husky and Dewalt. If you're just starting your tool collection, definitely check out Husky! The tools are often more affordable, the quality is pretty good, and they have a lifetime warranty! Husky Deals I recommend this season include the:

  • Multi-function Pliers for $12.97 (SKU #1005404508)

  • New Tape Measures for $14.88 (SKU #1007629658)

  • Hammer that I've been using the last couple years is on sale with a Pry Bar for $16.88!  (SKU #1005404552)

  • SAE/Metric Folding Hex Key Set With Bonus Torx Set (3-Piece) for $9.97

I bought The Husky allen wrench sets a couple years ago and have gotten alot of use out of them, for the price they cant be beat. But if you are looking at the full size set, I suggest spending a bit more money and either getting ball ended wrenches because they are so much more convenient, or something even nicer that is color coded. I found some sets on amazon - just follow the links!

I didn’t see many deals on the floor for Dewalt as of right now, but one thing I did like was the 2-pack of Jab Saws for $16.88 (SKU #1006465072). I think the price is a little higher than last year, but the handles are really ergonomic and it looks like Milwaukee drywall saws are not for sale this season or at least not yet.

Speaking of Dewalt, the parent company Stanley is once again selling the Fatmax two pack. But! This year the price has gone up to $24.88 (SKU #1002430294). From what I can remember it has been $19.98 for years so a $5 price jump is a little disappointing. Who knows, maybe they will reduce it as we get closer to Xmas.

Power Tools

When it comes to Power Tools, buying a new tool for someone can be pretty tricky. Brand loyalty is crazier than ever these days, but if you know what brand someone wants it can also help quickly narrow down the choices and make the purchase easier.

For those of you just starting out, Ryobi is the most affordable of the brands at Home Depot, and recently has been stepping up their performance and quality. I started my Ryobi collection a few years ago with a very similar deal to the current Hammer Drill Deal for $159 (SKU #1007775902). Details of the deal are Buy ONE+ HP Brushless Hammer Drill Kit, Get Select ONE+ HP Brushless Tool FREE (Qualifying OMSIDs: 314109271, 314109279, 314109411, 314109535, 314109552, 314109577, 314109589, 316631066, 317438520) If I remember correctly, I got a brushless hammer drill, a 4 ah battery, charger and a free tool for $129!

Although the price has increased $30, Ryobi is selling a much better tool, 2 2ah HP batteries and you can still choose a free tool priced $99-$179! If you don't care about getting higher-end brushless tools, Ryobi has some good entry level starter kits that have the essentials like and impact, drill, circular saw and flashlight priced $159-199.

There are plenty of deals from Dewalt, Ridgid and Makita, but I'll just touch on the Milwaukee deals since those are the ones I have the most experience with. The M18 kits (priced $399 and $599) include the newly released gen 4 hammer drill and impact driver. If you haven't seen any content on these tools, they have slight performance increases over gen 3 and have some other minor improvements. I really like how all the deals allow you to choose your own free tool, and they’re are some pretty pricey tools (up to $199) in the list of eligible items, so that can really sweeten the deal.

The M12 deals are pretty decent. I’m happy to see that the price of the new gen 3 hammer drill/impact kit is $199 (SKU #1007837397). When I bought my gen 2 combo kit, it was also $199. But that only included 2 2ah batteries. This kit has a 2ah, 4ah, and an additional 2.5ah HO battery! This battery is new and really sweetens this deal.

The last power tool deal that caught my eye is the Dewalt 12 inch miter saw with free stand (SKU #1008223978). The stand might not be the most versatile option on the market since it doesn’t have wheels, but if we compare this deal to the Ridgid 12 inch miter saw (SKU #1006060387) for $379, you will easily notice how good it is! For just 20 dollars more you get a free stand valued at $229 and a more reputable saw!

Tool Accessories

Tool Accessories such as blades, and bits, are some of the most common types of products that brands sell this time of year. Just like power tools, people might have alliances towards one brands accessories, but if you, or the person you might be buying a gift for is like me, you really cant have enough blades and bits.

Diablo has become one of the leading brands for blades. This reciprocating saw kit stuck out to me because it comes with a lot of blades, and a nice case. for $29.88 (SKU #1005496038). If we compare the Diablo blades to the kit for $25.97 from Milwaukee (SKU #1002800033), its a pretty easy choice. For just a few bucks more, Diablo has over twice the amount of blades!

The Diablo spade bits seem to be an exact replica of the Bosch daredevil bits that I have. This 10 piece kit (SKU #1006273736) for $12.88 and this 16 piece kit (SKU #1005404304) for $19.88 also come with a case whereas the Bosch set doesn’t. So, for just a few bucks more than the Bosch set you get something that looks like a nice holiday gift. If you don't have any spade bits, you should grab either kit, but if I was buying at this price point, I would definitely spend the 7 extra bucks and get 6 more bits!

When choosing what impact driver bits to buy, you should focus on three things:

  1. Price per piece

  2. Types of bits included

  3. Brand

The price per piece is a pretty important factor. But with that being said, some kits can drive that number down a lot just because they include a small case with extra 1 inch bits. So, pay attention to how many of these small bits are included.

The next factor of these bit cases, is the types of bits that are included. I would try and lean toward cases with more variety like, this 25 piece Milwaukee set for $14.97 (SKU #1007959280). The variety of one inch, two inch, drill bits, and a magnetic extension maintain a good price per piece as well as increase the value with more expensive items like an extension. My favorite kit on sale right is probably this (65-Piece) online exclusive SHOCKWAVE Impact Duty Alloy Steel Screw Driver Bit Set with Titanium SHOCKWAVE Drill Bit Kit (Internet #301696691). Its a high price per bit. But it includes a ½ twist bit, unlike the drill bit kit in-store. And includes two magnetic extensions, nut drivers, and a variety of bits!

Another nicely priced kit from Milwaukee is this (100-Piece) SHOCKWAVE Impact Duty Alloy Steel Screw Driver Bit Set with PACKOUT Case for $49.99 (Internet #312440069) I wish they included a nicer way to store your bits, but you can always get a 3d printed bit holder from one of the many Packout modders.

The last factor is only a big deal to some consumers. At Home Depot Milkwaukee, Dewalt, Makita and Ryobi sell bit sets and they do have clear differences in quality. I could say you get what you pay for, but in some situations, getting higher quality bits won’t be that noticeable. At the end of the day, if a kit has what you’re looking for, and it seems like a good price, get it before it sells out, or the price changes.

The holidays are a great time to buy Work Lights. Husky has more than a few lights for sale, but there are two deals that jumped out at me. The 1500 Lumens Dual Power Rechargeable Handheld Spotlight for $19.88 (SKU #1007747173) and a (2-Pack) 800-Lumen LED Utility Lights 2-Modes with Magnetic Handle and Batteries for $16.88 (Internet #320270460). Both products have a high lumen to price ratio and I like the features, and form factor of these two lights.

Milwaukee has two lighting deals at the moment $29.97, the 450 lumen headlamp (SKU #1004406521) and pair of 100 Lumen penlights (SKU #1004300720). Once Again, I'm noticing the price has gone up on these items from past years but as priced there is still a good savings. The penlight has some unique features - like the Trueview technology, and a rubber bite zone. 100 Lumens is a good brightness for a variety of situations, but If you want something a bit more powerful, I would think about spending a few more bucks and checking out lights from other brands like Streamlight and Olight. For the same price as these AAA powered penlights, there are quite a few rechargeable alternatives on Amazon.

A cool accessory from Dewalt is the modular right angle attachment. I have a similar attachment from Milwaukee, but this Dewalt’s (SKU #100576802) is a bit more versatile! Over the last year, I have used my right angle attachment a few times, but this is one of those specialty tool that is better to have and not need, than need and not have!

If I asked you right now to cut a piece of wood, do you have safety glasses nearby? If not, there's a variety of Milwaukee safety glasses on sale! They also have several gloves, and even a safety vest! My favorite style are the Clear Anti-Scratch Lenses (SKU #1005967840 $19.97 for a 3 pack) because they are super lightweight, and tightly wrap around my face, but any pair of glasses beats a trip to the emergency room! The Milwaukee demo gloves for $14.97 (SKU #1001645848) have been great for a variety of projects and temperatures. If I needed a vest, I would probably get Milwaukee’s High Visibility Safety Vest (SKU #1004531589) because of all the extra pockets!

The last accessory that I really recommend is the large Husky kneeling pad for $14.88 ( SKU #1005978850). I got one last year, and it's great to kneel or sit on as well as laying your tools on if you need to protect a surface. It's also the perfect size to use as a Packout seat cushion!

Finally, let’s talk Storage and Organization

If you saw my last video, you know I love modular toolboxes and I would recommend Ridgid Pro Gear System 2.0 at its normal price of $180. Currently at $40 off ($69.97 for the 22in Rolling Cart, $39.97 for the 22in Pro Tool Box, and $29.97 for the 22in Pro Tool Case) it's almost too good of a deal to pass up if you don’t already have another toolbox system. Check out my previous videos on this system to learn a lot more about the pricing features and more:

BEST BUDGET TOOLBOX- Ridgid Pro Gear 2.0- Has Features PACKOUT DOESN'T!

WHAT IS THE BEST TOOLBOX SYSTEM-2022!? Milwaukee Packout vs Flex Stackpack vs Ridgid 2.0

The next most affordable toolbox system is Ryobi link. I'm a little disappointed their $149 deal only includes 2 boxes and the crate (Internet #318429305). If the price was lower, I think this system could be an interesting gift choice, but based on the current price, features, quality, and overall potential of the system I would stay away from this deal.

For another 50 bucks, you can get yourself Dewalt Toughsystem. At $199, you can get the rolling box, medium box, and organizer. If you're already using Toughsystem 2.0 then now might be the best time to get an additional box or even the drawers (SKU #1007640370) that are on sale for 99 bucks. But for just a bit more money, you can make the upgrade to Milwaukee Packout.

Packout is rarely on sale, so im excited to see Home Depot is running a buy more save more sale. If you spend $199, you can get 50 dollars off and if you spend $299 you get 90 dollars off!

With this deal You can get the three piece set (SKU #1002732625) for $218. That's about a 10 percent increase from the old $199 price tag, but it's still worth it in my opinion. I wish the entire Packout system was eligible for this deal, but some of the more unique items are not.

If what I know about the Packout community is true, they're definitely going to jump on this deal, so take advantage of it before items go out of stock! Some packout products that I'm surprised to see not included in any special holiday deal are the Packout tumblers, They're the same price as six months ago when they first came out!

For more info on Packout, Ridgid and Flex Stackpack which is available at Lowe’s, check out my YouTube videos and subscribe to get notified when I release more!

Finally, if you end up buying a bunch of new toolboxes you might need a new shelving system to store them! Luckily for you, there is a 4 tier heavy duty steel storage shelf on sale for $299 (SKU #1007784729)! This might work well for your garage situation, But if you do end up buying some new tools, why not put them to work and make some custom shelves! I recently built my own shelves and the materials cost me about 160 bucks! If you decide to build your own shelves you can get much more storage space for the money!
